On June 26th, Vivian Steele was awarded a Superior Score for her original work, CHUM, in the playwriting category at The International Thespian Festival.

The International Thespian Excellence Awards (or Thespys® for short) recognize the highest level of achievement in school theatre performance, technical theatre, writing, and filmmaking.

This educational program celebrates the work of theatre students, giving them the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material, technical design, plays, and short films, and recognizing their achievements on local, regional, and international stages.

This prestigious recognition follows two previous years of national-level superior scores in costume design (2023) for a conceptual production of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and costume construction (2022) for Tilly’s Battle Corset in She Kills Monsters..
