Orsino: “Harry Styles” Pants for “Twelfth Night”

Armed with my co-star’s measurements, I hit the fabric store for satin/silk-look material and a pajama pattern.

While I knew the pattern would work for the material, I did not want the pants to look like PJs. For a “high fashion” look, I ditched the elastic waistband and added front seams to create a more tailored silhouette.

To facilitate “Orsino” getting into costume without a pant zipper, I opted for a rear elastic “grandma pant style” waistband that would be hidden by the cape and enable a better fit for the actor without a drawstring.
