Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is a classic play with well-known speeches and a storyline that examines the fragility of alliances and the power of persuasion. In Shakespeare’s work, a group of Roman senators conspire to assassinate Julius Caesar, a leader who they believe is gaining too much power. Following the murder, the conspirators are driven out of Rome and ultimately defeated by Caesar’s ally, Mark Antony

In my conceptual production, the rise and fall of Caesar is played within the context of a rock bands’ reaction to the growing popularity of its lead singer.
